Limited lectures qualify this year due to changing regulations on the national (ANCC) level. Below is a chart of the lectures now approved for nursing continuing education (marked with “CNE” in capital letters). A total of 16 hours is possible if you attend one CNE (Continuing Nursing Education) lecture in each available slot at the live event. An additional 7 contact hours are available for listening to recordings of the event.
If there are lectures you want to attend which do not qualify for CNE, you can listen to audio recordings of approved lectures as part of a distance learning program. This will allow you to earn the maximum number of contact hours (23 total) and receive a certificate of completion when you finish listening.
Application for 23 contact hours approved by the Western Multi-State Division, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation. Arizona, Colorado, Idaho, and Utah Nurses Associations are members of the Western Multi-State Division.

Frequently asked questions about nursing CNE at Medicines from the Earth:
But some of the lectures I would like to attend are not marked for CNE!
Because of the new, very specific ANCC requirements for each speaker, fewer lectures are approved for CNE. We now have approval for earning additional contact hours for listening to recordings of the approved lectures after the event is over.
How can I get 16 contact hours of credit if I don’t attend all the credit lectures at the live event?
You may to listen to recordings of CNE-qualified lectures for up to two years after the conference and earn credit, even if you choose to attend another lecture during the same time slot. Up to 23 contact hours possible with combined in-person and distance learning through audio recordings.
How much will the recordings cost?
They will be offered at a steeply discounted price at the symposium ($80 for a full set of about 40 recordings—a 40% discount).
Why are you applying through the Arizona Nurses Association/ Western Multi-State Division?
We have an ongoing relationship with the Arizona Nurses Association. They are working with us closely on planning an excellent professional conference with the maximum CNE possible.
When will you know for sure if these credits are available?
As of April 21, 2016, this continuing nursing education activity has been approved for 23 possible contact hours (combined in-person and recordings) by the Western Multi-State Division, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation. Arizona, Colorado, Idaho, and Utah Nurses Associations are members of the Western Multi-State Division. Approval number 70-16.
