Title: A Report on the Clinical Use of Blue Skullcap for Anxiety

This talk describes a placebo-controlled, double blind study in normal, healthy subjects found significant anxiolytic effects in people taking blue skullcap (Scutellaria lateriflora). Characteristics and constituents of Scutellaria are described, followed by an evaluation of toxicity reports. The study is described and results are reported. The study concluded that a potential anxiolytic (anti-anxiety) effect was demonstrated.
